In short: every TopInLists ranking is researched by a named human, built from verifiable sources, dated, and updated when the facts change. We do not accept payment for placements, and we tell you when a link earns us a commission.
How we choose what to rank
We pick topics where a clear, honest comparison actually helps a reader decide something — what to buy, watch, use, or try. We prioritize questions readers in India and the United States actually search for, and we skip topics where we cannot add anything beyond what already exists.
How we research
- Primary sources first. Prices come from the retailer or issuer’s own pages. Follower counts, specs, and rates come from official pages or established trackers (and we name them).
- Every statistic is linked and dated. If we say “checked on August 12, 2026,” a human checked it that day.
- No invented data. If we haven’t verified a number, we describe it qualitatively or leave it out. Our polls and interactive widgets never display fabricated results.
- AI tools assist our research; humans make the calls. We use AI to gather and cross-check information faster. Selection, ranking order, and every published claim are reviewed by the author.
How rankings are ordered
Rank order reflects our editorial judgment of overall value for the typical reader — a combination of quality, price, availability (US and India), and how well each option fits the people most likely to need it. Where a list is ordered by a single measurable number (ratings, follower counts, prices), we say so in the post.
Updates and corrections
Lists with time-sensitive facts (prices, apps, phones, rates, follower counts) are refreshed on a recurring cycle, and the visible “Last Updated” date on each post changes only when the content genuinely changed. Found an error? Email us via the contact page — corrections ship within a week.
Commercial relationships
We participate in the Amazon Associates (India) Program: some posts contain Amazon India links that earn us a commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.
